Welcome Back Middle Schoolers!

On Wednesday morning, September 6th, middle schoolers were greeted by their new Principal Rob Dennis, Assistant Principal Rachel Green, and all of the faculty and staff. The students eagerly said hello to their new and old friends as they checked their schedules and collected their books for their first day of classes.

Prior to joining the team at North Shore Middle School, Principal Dennis served as Assistant Principal of Plainview-Old Bethpage Middle School (POBMS) as well as the District Chairperson of World Languages and ENL at the POB School District. In his tenure as Assistant Principal at POBMS, Mr. Dennis worked to welcome the very first middle school Hackathon, a middle school STREAM Day event, the implementation of a 1:1 platform utilizing Chromebooks and GAFE accounts, and an educational un-conference for professional development.

Principal Dennis is eager to be a part of a school community that embraces unique opportunities for all learners, promoting appropriate rigor and remediation in order to allow all students to grow and reach their maximal potential. This school year, he will spend time getting to know the NSMS faculty, parent community, and most importantly, the student-body, in order to learn their collective hopes and dreams for the school.
He said, “I am thrilled to be a part of a culture that embraces the E3 (Everyone Matters, Everyone Cares, Everyone Learns) motto and instills within students a passion to deepen our shared values.”

Best of luck to the students, faculty, and Principal Rob Dennis School as they begin the 2017-18 school year!
