Dear North Shore Community Members,


It is with pleasure that I report to you that our 2018-2019 Budget proposal has passed with a 73.6% rate. The final vote tally is

Yes Votes - 1,430
No Votes - 511

We welcome Tim Madden and Lisa Vizza to the Board of Education and final vote tallies for all candidates are noted below. Both will begin their service in July. As North Shore’s new chapter begins, I wish both Andrea Macari and Anthony Stanco well. Thank you to all of the candidates. We look forward to continuing strong collaborations with all. On behalf of the entire community, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Toni Labbate and Herman Berliner. Both leave the District fierce advocates for children and our schools are much better and stronger now than when they began their service.

In addition, both Proposition 2 (Transportation Distance Limits - Yes Votes =1,444 and No Votes =453) and Proposition 3 (The Capital Reserve Fund - Yes Votes =1,508 and No Votes =413) passed. I am grateful for the support of the community. Our schools are very special and we appreciate and do not take for granted the confidence that you have shown to us. Please know that we will continue to work hard each and every day to ensure that your children continue to receive a world class education with boundless opportunities for academic, physical, and social–emotional growth and development.
