LI Psychology Fair

Congratulations to North Shore High School sophomore, Kate Weseley-Jones, on winning “best in category” for social psychology at the Long Island Psychology Fair. Dr. Mordechai said, “She did an amazing job!”

The Long Island Psychology Fair is open to students registered in LI high schools.  It requires students to submit a research paper for review.  This year, 30 students were called to make presentations. It is annually held at Roslyn High School. Dr. Mordechai stated, “There were five rooms of students sorted by subcategories of psychology. Each gave a 10-minute, slideshow presentation followed by a judges' question and answer session.”

At the end of the LI Psychology Fair, there was an awards ceremony where students can receive an "honorable mention" and a "best in category" award for each room.  Dr. Mordechai concluded by saying, “Kate was awarded "best in category" for social psychology.  She won an Amazon gift card.  It is her second year in a row winning this award.” Congratulations!
