Congratulations GWL Fifth Graders on
Moving Up to the Middle School!
On Monday, June 24th, Principal Bridget Finder led a very memorable Moving Up Ceremony for all of her Glenwood Landing fifth graders at North Shore High School. The theatre was filled with adoring family, friends and teachers who all applauded happily, as their children reminisced about their favorite memories in a more personal and creative manner to everyone’s enjoyment. They all spoke beautifully as everyone in the audience listened attentively. Students also sang beautiful songs under the direction of LiJu Cheung later on in the ceremony individually received their diplomas on the “big” stage from Principal Finder and held them up for their families to see!
Superintendent Dr. Peter Giarrizzo spoke to the fifth graders and congratulated them on this wonderful accomplishment. He quoted from the book, “There” by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick about a little girl who ponders her future and is determined to find out for herself.
Additionally, NSMS Principal Mr. Robert Dennis welcomed his incoming sixth graders and assured them that they would be successful in middle school!
Congratulations to all of the fifth graders on this exciting day! (Names of fifth graders to soon follow).
Then Principal Finder formally congratulated her graduating Class of 2019 and their respective families, and wished them all the best of luck as they move up to the middle school. Have a happy and healthy summer!
