North Shore Board of Education Meets on Thursday, November 21 at North Shore High School Library
The North Shore Board of Education will meet on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 7:45 PM, at the North Shore High School Library. This meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include Student Recognition and Wellness: The Status of the District’s Efforts to Focus on Health, Wellness, The Whole Child, and our Response to Vaping!
Prior to the meeting, there will be a Bond Building Tour at North Shore High School beginning at 5:30 PM (starting at the main entrance) with Superintendent Dr. Giarrizzo, trustees and administrators.
The Board is proposing a bond referendum on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the amount of $39,899,786. It is designed to be tax neutral and have no year-to-year increase to your taxes. The priority areas include major enhancements to safety and security, infrastructure, instructional spaces, air quality and cooling of classrooms and learning spaces, and health and wellness. Dr. Giarrizzo along with members of the Board and administration will be available to answer questions and discuss the total scope of projects in the upcoming bond. The community will have the opportunity to vote on the 2019 Bond Referendum on Tuesday, December 10th, in the North Shore High School Gymnasium from 7 am to 10 pm.
