Counseling
can help students gain the greatest value from their high school
education and make sound plans for the future. In addition to the
day-to-day guidance given by parents and teachers, a student should
periodically review progress and plans with a professional counselor.
The pupil is also invited to schedule a conference with a counselor
when there is a need for help in clearing some obstacle or in clarifying
thinking about the future. Beside such general matters, the counselor
is the pupil's principal resource for information about choice of
school subjects, occupations, institutions of higher education and
scholarship and other forms of financial aid. |
